Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar became famous by the name of Mira Datar, Mira means brave and Datar means person who gives. Mira Datar became famous in every nook and corner of the world and people from all over the world irrespective of caste, color and religion till also today come to his Mazar and get treated of all Black magic and evil spirits.
In the hands of Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar was the strength of Hazrat Ali. In the battlefield also Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar prayed his namaz on time. On seeing this, many enemy soldiers accepted Islam.
Soon, Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar reached the Palace of the King. The name of the palace was Jahaz Mahal from where he use to play all magic tricks. On seeing the face of Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar, king's face became white, he was so scared and frightened that he started tremblingly with fear. He used all of his power, but he could not stand before the power of Aal-E-Rasool. His soldiers surrendered their weapons. He had tremendous fight with Saiyed Ali Mira Datar and was badly wounded. He ran away and triumph on Mehendi Fort was declared.
The King ran away due to the fear of Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar. He ran and got hid in the Lohani Caves . Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar then asked the soldiers about the King whereabouts, the soldiers informed him that king is hiding in Lohani Caves.
When Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar reached Lohani caves there was again a dreadfull fight between him and the king and eventually king accepted the defeat. Saiyed Ali said to the King that if he seeks pardon with ALLAH Subhana Taala and promises not to torture any person of his kingdom he will be forgiven.

The king said yes I seek forgiveness in the court of ALLAH Subhana Taalaa's please forgive me. As soon as Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar put his sword down, the king took picked up his sword and beheaded him. But then also, only the body of Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar had so much power that he picked up his sword again and chopped the body of the king in three pieces along with his Choti (part of long hairs tied behind the head). The king with the help of his evil power had put his life in his Choti so Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar cuts his Choti first and asked his soldiers to bury the choti of the king near his legs.
The place where Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar was martyred was filled with flowers. Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar followed the Sunnah of Hazrat Qasim (R.A.) when he was martyred in Karbala. Hazrat Qasim was a groom for just one day the same way Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar was also a groom just for one day.
After he was martyered Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar came in the dream of his grandfather Saiyed Ilmuddin and gave him the good news that the Battle Mandavgad has been won and also showed him the place where his body was lying in the Lohani Caves. In the dream Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar instructed his grandfather to take his body from the caves and bury him Unava, also he instructed his grandfather to bury the Choti of the King near his Legs.
Soon Hazrat Saiyed Ilmuddin and King Mehmood Begda reached Lohani Caves and saw the Red Horse of Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar on the gate. The horse took the king and his grandfather to the body of Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar. All people were astonished to see the flowers covering the body of Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar as no one till now knew where the body of Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar is lying.
Soon the body was taken out and taken to Aalamgir Masjid where his body was kept in a casket. The casket was kept on the camel and then all left for Unava. At one place the camel stopped and didn't move an inch. People tried their best but could not move the camel.
On investigation, it was revealed that it was the same place where Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar had buried the Miswak and they saw that instead of a small Miswaak there was a big Miswaak tree now and there Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar was buried and Dargah stands today at the same place.
This way martyrdom of Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar won the fort of Mandawgad. When he was martyred, it was Friday, 29th of Moharram.
